Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Graduate Stipends
The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology has a number of departmental graduate stipends that are assigned to students and their major professor on a project-specific, scholarly, or need basis depending on the student applying to the program and funding availability. Availability of these stipends varies depending on the timing of graduation for in-program students relative to application submissions and timing of entry into the program. These stipends include a full tuition waiver for students on departmental stipends. A minimum GPA of a 3.0 (semester and/or institutional) must be maintained when on a departmental stipend to assure continued funding by the department. Faculty within the department also fund students from awarded external grants and contracts for specific projects, and therefore individual faculty should be contacted regarding current research thrusts and graduate student funding possibilities within their individual programs.
